You will need the following items:

  • A calculator (graphing --- TI-83+ or TI-84 recommended).
  • A straightedge
  • Graphing paper
  • Three-ring binder

The use of calculators is encouraged for class work, homework, and tests!   But you still need to demonstrate competence both with and without a calculator.

The text book for the course is Modeling With Elementary Functions: Using the TI-83+/84 Graphing Calculator (Fourth Edition/2017) by Ray McGivney of the University of Hartford. The book is available in the bookstore.
